Hey guys. Just a short list of rules for your roleplays and the shows and stuff. Most of it is stuff you already know, but there's some rules that're more specific to this fed in particular. That said, let's get going.
Rule #1 - Don't be a dick.
This is pretty much a given. Unless you're a published author or a Pulitzer Prize winner or something, you're not in much of a position to get all uppity about your writing. We're all here to have fun, so have fun. Otherwise, that's what the Tearjerk Emporium is for.
Rule #2 - Don't use other people's characters without permission.
This is another given. If you're that desperate to have control of other people, might as well open your own fed.
Rule #3 - Remember the context of the fed.
Second Chances Wrestling is a small indy that runs shows exclusively in a renovated old abandoned factory in Nevada. Wrestlers get paid whatever the company can afford, which is usually around a couple hundred per show if they're lucky. Try not to blow yourselves, or the fed out of proportion. SCW is a small pond.
Rule #4 - No in-ring promos.
This is gonna be a controversial one, I can already tell.
But let's be honest, in-ring promos are what people revert to when they have no other ideas. They're a default, and they're not even a good default, especially when it usually leads to people writing themselves as either being messiahs or pariahs in the eyes of the fans. Plus, if it's in ring, with a crowd there, then you're writing it as part of a show, yes? But it's not part of a show. So you're technically writing something that didn't happen.
If you're writing something that didn't happen, then you're writing a RP that's null and void. So you'll lose that week by default.
Let me just repeat that: if you post an in-ring promo, you will lose your match that week.
They're also banned from General Roleplays as well. Backstage stuff, by all means. Out-of-show interviews, go hog wild. In-ring, consider it officially banned from now on.
Rule #5 - Have some patience.
Good things come to those who wait. Particularly storylines. You're not going to look like Superman every week. If the idea of your character getting beaten down to further a storyline or the like is something that makes you weep like a child, please consider another fed.
List will be extended as and when I feel like it.
