One minute, thirteen seconds. Seventy-three seconds. One single chop brought the punching bag off of its chains and scattering across the floor. Valerie clutched her hand and winced, but the pain really wasn’t much of a deterrent to her. After holding and shaking it for a bit, she promptly lunged over to start punching and chopping at the fallen leather and nylon bag, proceeding to unleash all of her aggression and frustration across it.
One minute. Thirteen seconds. What kind of fight was that? He just stood there. He didn't fight back, he didn't try to resist, he didn't even try to break out of the hold. He just...was a punching bag. He was as effective as the bag she was punching right now--less so, in fact, at least is lasting more than a minute. Valerie continued striking with chops and palms and punches, burying her hands deeper and deeper into the fabric.
Was he taunting her? Did he even get her request, and was intentionally ignoring it? Or maybe he was mocking her desire. Or maybe he just didn't know.
She sighed and pulled her hands back, shaking them off.
She would have to try again another time. Another match tonight, with another unknown individual. It was the same thing as last week, the same thing this week, and probably the same thing next week. Was she wasting her time?
...no. Don't go down that path. Valerie lifted up her hands and smacked at her cheeks. She had only been here, what, two weeks? Three? She had only had two matches, with tonight being her third. Getting all emo and dejected about such things wouldn't at all help her, and it wouldn't serve the audience. Plus, she was getting upset over what? Someone not being able to punch her well? Talk about inane. Valerie started hopping from leg to leg, lifting up her hands and preparing to go another round with the downed punching bag. She had been out of the scene for years. She still had so much to remember and so much to pick up again, trying to jump all the way into the circuits would be suicidal. This would be nice and simple. Working her way up the ladder, one rung at a time.
Not too bad. Nice and simple.
((Barely an RP at all. But I figure I should do more than just show up, say "I win", then leave. :x ))
